Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view1

A huge yet simply designed project in Mombasa, Kenya in Africa, catering 18 white villas and some ammenities. It was a big challenge for me doing the entire 3d visualization in less than a week. This first camera angle is from the front, with the effect giving the client a view from a boat, towards the location. The owner of this project requested to minimize the cutting of the existing palm and coconut trees, as being part of the modified landscaping plan.

Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view2

A front aerial view rendered to showcase the entire length of the layout, as well as the different sloping plot levels, designed to accomodate the existing plot slope. Due to short time frame to finish this 3dvisualzation, I made use of simple composition, 3d object management and texturing. Each and every object in the scene is 3D, and no post processing was applied.

Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view3

An aerial camera view rendered from the rear part of the layout. This view shows the entire layout from the back, stretching towards the sea. Noticeable is the abrupt change in slope going down from the existing road level, the reason why I used terrain method for the layout, to produce an accurate result in terms of plot point level.

Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view4

A closer view towards the open pool area, with the camera located on one of the villa's terrace. I intended to show a part of the pergolas to add drama and realism, but on a higher eye level, not to focus on the railing. The pool area was made using simple design and materials and with 3D objects eagerly placed to project actual visualization.

Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view5

This view shows the other side of the pool rendered from a higher camera level, clipping as well the horizon of the sea and beach. I intended not to change the angle of the light source (sun) for future animation requirement, thus producing a dark render output and sharp shadows.

Bagamoyo Project - 18 white villas view6

A closer rendered shot emphasizing on the water fountain feature located in the middle of each clustered villas. A simple pathway leads to this feature, and with the founatain providing the tenants with a breezy and relaxing environment.

Kigali Shopping Center view-1

A rushed freelance job for my senior architect. This establishement was designed for a B+G+4 building, accomodating a mall (G+1+2 floors) and some office spaces on the 3rd and 4th level. My senior archiect made the exterior design, and with the overall composition and rendering by me, with merely using plain earthly tone colours. As per the designer,he asked me to finish the job in a span of 2 days, the reason why the presentation was not executed nicely. Fortunately, this project was already approved by the client, and is now in the working drawing / detailing phase.

Kigali Shopping Center view-2

This second rendered view focused on the other side of the site. Simple concept was used as per the senior architect's design, making use of plain earhtly tone colors on walls and darkish emeralg green glazing.

Textures are from 3dtotal textures, cgtextures and some internet resources. Illumination via the power of vray1.5RC3 , and post processing in Photoshop CS2. Cheers!

Dubai Tower - Premiere

A project situated in Plot No.345-213 at Shk. Zhayed Road, the G+M+43Level Tower for offices & business suites sits just nearby Burj Dubai which is so far the tallest building in the world. Due to client design modification, the exterior perspective has somewhat changed, providing with 2 cylindrical pinnacles which will accomodate the jacuzzi and sauna area. These modifications were unfortunately not incorporated on this view. Further changes were made with image editing software. Now, this tower designed to accomodate commercial & residential facilities, evolved its name to Dubai Premiere Tower. This project is almost done in construction and will soon open for leasing by the year 2009.

freetime hobby - a lego story

Inspired by bricks3d, I did this 3dmodel of a lego spaceship using box polymodeling. Trying to create good studiotype lighting, as well as great illumination, this simple 3dobject took me 2 hours to model, texturize and render.

freetime hobby - my WD passport

Looking on my old 60GB WD Passport external storage drive I made fun to model this object in an hour during my breaktime. 3dmodeling, texturing & rendering took 1.5hrs all in all. cheers!

freetime hobby - a mug of hot coffee

Looking to my coffee mug which is always beside me while working on the office, I made fun trying to make a 3dmodel snapshot of it. The object was modeled just as how it looks in my table. Have a break!

freetime hobby - a rubik's cube

Another product of my "freetime 3dmodeling hobbies", a rubik's cube. Looking at my son's toy, I made fun to model and render it and took me 10 minutes to finish everything...cheers to all!
